Here at Interfil, we have seven efficient centrifuge options that you can choose from. You may be wondering which unit is the best one for you. There are different factors to consider, such as the floor space that you have available, the specific waste you are separating, and your overall machine budget. You might also take into account the size and scope of your employees.
Our entry-level unit is the IC45. It’s a small, portable unit, so if you have a minimal team, it would be quite good. It’s a centrifuge that can be moved from site to site servicing clients wherever they are. This makes it a good unit to hire out to clients for use by their own staff. It’s also helpful if you offer door-to-door service because your machinist can drive the centrifuge to the client’s premises, perform their tasks, and bring it right back.
The IC45’s portability allows you to serve more clients in a day than you would with a permanent centrifuge, especially since it can be hand-washed after every cycle. This machine is good for the food and beverage industry and works especially well with wine, vegetable oil, and biofuel.
If you have a larger labour force that can work in shifts, you could try the semi-automatic IC45-A. It can process up to 4,800 litres of sludge every hour and it doesn’t need to be manually operated. You simply set the timer and when the machine is done, you can collect the gelatin from the bin. The machine can be set to clean itself, and it can operate non-stop, so your team can take different rotations for maximum efficiency.
The third centrifuge in our line is the IC45-AV. This machine is fully automated and can run all day and night with minimal human interference. If you have a large factory with a sizeable labour force and a massive output, this machine is a good bet for you.
It comes equipped with four load cells that have an automatic weight detector. This detector recognises when the solid waste is at the optimum weight for extraction and it sets the centrifuge to release it and initiate the auto-cleaning function.
In some instances, the waste will be more liquid and the weight factor may not be as distinct as it would be when producing solid waste. In that case, the machine operator can use a timer to estimate the period that the centrifuge should continue running. Once this backup timer stops, the machine will begin its auto-clean cycle for maximum efficiency.
We have a few more centrifuges here at Interfil, but they are diesel powered machines, so the selection process has different parameters. The OC-20 and OPS-20 are slower machines best suited for cleaning engine oil, and they process about 210 litres per hour. The faster OC-50 and OPS-50 have a doubled capacity of 420 litres every hour, complete with a warranty that’s valid for 5 years.
