Trying to decide which Dieselcraft centrifuge is right for your situation? At Interfil, we offer two Cyclone models with various different specs. This guide aims to show you the key differences between the two so you can make your mind up which one is right for you.
Why Dieselcraft?
Dieselcraft are well known in the industry for providing top quality centrifuges to remove contaminants from fuel. Each of Dieselcraft’s oil cleaners give you ten times more cleaning power than regular oil filters, which remove any particles than are larger than 1 micron in size. This helps to greatly reduce the amount of wear and tear on your engines.
Each Dieselcraft centrifuge comes with a 5 year warranty and is made from nickel plated internal components which help to reduce corrosion from waste vegetable oils.
Dieselcraft Oc20 Centrifuge
Part of the Cyclone series, the Deiselcraft Oc20 Centrifuge is designed for use in removing contaminants from engine oil, waste vegetable oil and biodiesel, making the centrifuge a multi-purpose component.
The centrifuge has a flow rate of 3.5 litres per minute (0.93 gallons per minute) or 210 litres per minute (55 gallons per hour). For best results, it is recommended that 4 passes are made with the oil for the best results.
The centrifuge is small, measuring just 100mm by 150mm, and the rotor can hold up to 300 grams of contaminants before it needs to be emptied.
Dieselcraft Oc50 Centrifuge
Also part of the Cyclone series, the Dieselcraft Oc50 Centrifuge is the “bigger brother” of the Dieselcraft Oc20 Centrifuge. The centrifuge works to the same specifications for removing contaminants as the Oc20 model.
The Oc50 centrifuge has a flow rate of 7 litres per minute (1.8 gallons per minute) or 420 litres per hour (108 gallons per hour). Again, for the best results in cleaning contaminants, it is recommended that 4 passes are made through the centrifuge.
The measurements of the Oc50 centrifuge come in at 140mm by 250mm, making it larger than the other model, and the rotor holding capacity is double the capacity at 600 grams.
The verdict?
Which Dieselcraft centrifuge you choose to purchase really depends on what sort of needs you have for your capacity. Obviously, the Oc20 model has a lower fuel flow allowance than the Oc50 model, and the contaminant capacity is smaller also. Which one you choose to go with depends on the amount and frequency of the oil you wish to clean.
